Testing Tension Lock

Always test your Tension Lock system after reengaging it:

  • Locate a drawer controlled by the interlock that was temporarily disengaged.
  • Fully open selected drawer and leave it open.
  • Open another drawer in the same column of drawers.
  • If the interlock is properly engaged opening the closed drawer will cause the open drawer to close.

Troubleshooting Tension Lock Interlock Issues

  • Open the interlock release cover at rear.  Look for snags or obstructions in the interlock cord.
  • Disengage the affected interlock using instructions above.  Remove the bottom drawer.  Check for obstructions or snags.  Proceed to the next drawer.
  • If you are unable to locate the cause of the snag, remove the back panel of the product by detaching the wood screws holding it in place.  Correct issues with the cord and replace the back panel.  NOTE: Keep children away and do not use the product without the back panel installed.
  • Always reengage and test the interlock after disengaging it.
